1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ‘Nest Sheet Controller’ collects, uses, and protects data in connection with the Nest Sheet Controller application (the "Application"). This Application interacts with the Google Nest API to control Nest thermostats based on Google Sheet Settings, predetermined schedule and/or outside temperature. The Google Sheet associated with this Application may also contain other functionality that does not involve the collection or use of user data obtained through OAuth.
2. Data Collected
The Application may access and collect the following data from your Google Nest account, as authorized by you through the Google OAuth process:
Nest Thermostat Data: This may include current temperature, target temperature, heating/cooling mode, and device status, as necessary for the Application's functionality.
Location Data (Potentially Implied by Outside Temperature): The Application may use or infer your general location to obtain outside temperature information.
3. Use of Data
The Application uses the collected data for the sole purpose of:
Controlling your Nest thermostats based on your scheduled events and settings.
The Application does not:
Share your personal data with any third parties.
Store your Google Nest or Calendar data persistently beyond what is strictly necessary for the Application's immediate operation.
Use your data for any advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Security
I am committed to ensuring the security of your data. The Application uses reasonable measures to protect the data accessed and used, primarily by relying on the secure OAuth 2.0 protocol provided by Google.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to revoke the Application's access to your Google Nest and Calendar data at any time through your Google account settings.
